Pedro Díaz dedicated more than 45 years to the world of optics as a representative, visiting opticians, listening to professionals and understanding the sector from within.
But while building his career, he also passed on something more important to his children: effort, closeness, respect for the craft and a passion for glasses.
Without knowing it, he was sowing the seed of what years later would become KURKO.
In 2018, that family story took another step forward.
KURKO was born from a lifetime of experience and a new generation eager to take it further.
And since everything has an origin, ours begins here.
Each KURKO mount goes through a careful, precise and demanding manufacturing process, where every detail counts.
One of the steps that most defines the final result is the lacquering. For this phase, we work with a factory specializing in paint for the automotive industry, a sector where the demands for adhesion, uniformity, resistance, and finish are extremely high.
That experience applied to our frames allows us to achieve clean surfaces, deep colors and especially resistant finishes, with a visual and tactile quality that is appreciated from the first contact.
We're not just looking to add color to a pair of glasses.
We aim for a finish that matches the quality of titanium.
KURKO was born in Móstoles.

Our place of origin does not determine how far we can go.
Quite the opposite.
It constantly reminds us of where we started.

At KURKO, we work with titanium and titanium alloys selected for their lightness, strength, flexibility, and stability. This choice allows us to create thin, comfortable, and durable frames, designed to maintain their performance even with intensive daily use.
The FLEX temple incorporates a flexible zone designed to absorb small movements and adapt better to everyday use. This system provides greater comfort, reduces pressure on the head, and helps protect the frame from common openings and handling.
Ionized lacquers are applied using a controlled process that promotes uniform color adhesion to the titanium. The result is a cleaner, more elegant, and more durable finish that enhances the details of the frame and better preserves its appearance over time.
Carbon fiber is incorporated into select models to combine lightness, strength, and a technological aesthetic. Its use allows for weight reduction in certain parts and provides a distinctive visual contrast, reinforcing the innovative character of KURKO TITANIUM frames.
